So, how do we merge the digital experience with the physical energy of live events? Imagine festival attendees embarking on digital scavenger hunts, scanning QR codes amid the vibrant festival atmosphere to earn branded badges. Picture them linking their Spotify accounts, favouriting artists, and engaging in over 20 unique app sessions, all to unlock exclusive rewards.
In addition to engaging with your audience in a fresh way, this feature opens up a world of opportunities for creating new sponsorships and partnerships, while seamlessly gathering valuable visitor data.
1. Game Options
1.1 Location triggered: Scavenger Hunt (Basic)
This package is ideal for a 1st step into booditing your festival engagement. It supports badge creation (via the CMS) and QR code scanning (within the app) to deliver essential gamification mechanics, perfect for in-app scavenger hunts and boosting overall app usage. When integrated with our geofences, QR scanning becomes optional, as badges can be unlocked based on actual location data.
1.2 Location triggered + Data triggered (Advanced)
This advanced package goes beyond traditional scavenger hunts, introducing sophisticated game concepts and collectible features that fully immerse attendees in the festival experience. With enriched gamification mechanics, integrations with platforms like Jebbit, and customized user experiences, we can now transform festivals into immersive journeys. The module enables gamified in-app behavioral triggers linked to sponsors, amplifying engagement and sponsorship activation.
2. Deliverables
For each badge you need to prepare the content described below. Besides the badges that are connected to a game, you can optionally add an extra "Game Completed-badge". This badge will automatically be unlocked after unlocking all the other badges. Every badge has a locked and an unlocked status. Besides the badges, you can also add additional (sponsor) banners at the top of the badge-overview page.

3. Timeline
Creating a game often involves multiple parties simultaneously — design teams, marketing teams, partnership teams, and external partners. This can make the process time-consuming, so it's crucial to start setting up your gamification module early.
With our most recent 2025 app framework, it’s no longer needed to do an app-update to start with this module. So you can get started straight away from your current CMS!
