A-Z of Terminology

We've tried to avoid using too many obscure terms. But if you don't know what we mean by something, you can check it here!

AR/Augmented Reality

Additional functionality we integrated into our app experience (Augment tier only). App users are able to switch their interactive map towards their camera view on which we plot the location of POIs and their friends.

AutoCAD

A technical drawing software tool, mostly used for building and construction. In the event industry, this drawing tool is used for creating a detailed plan of the environment.

Bookmarks

Way of personalizing your app by tapping the bookmark icon. you do this to create your own personal calendar and list of POIs you want to keep close and apps that have an interactive map.

Cards

Little pieces of content that you can add from the CMS into the applications. We defined different card types to make your life easier.

CMS

A content management system (CMS) is an application that is used to manage web content, allowing multiple contributors to create, edit and publish.

D-U-N-S number

The Data Universal Numbering System, abbreviated as DUNS or D-U-N-S, is a proprietary system developed and regulated by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).

Framework

The essential supporting structure of our mobile applications.

Favorites

Way of personalizing your app by tapping the heart icon. This can trigger a personalized music playlist under the 'My Event' section.

Interactive map

A feature in our Premium pricing tier. Based on an AutoCad (or Excel with list of POIs) we will draw an interactive layer on top of Google/Apple maps for the app users to easily navigate on the event or festival map. The typical 'Blue-dot' technology to locate yourself on the map is also activated.

Invision

InVision is a prototyping tool/software we use, that allows you to see the designs in an interactive prototype.

Push notification

A push notification is a message that pops up on a mobile device. App publishers can send them at any time; users don't have to be in the app or using their devices to receive them. Character count is around 300.

Rich Push notification

A more compelling way of sending pushes, you can now add a title and image to a push notification. We've seen 'open rates' that grow by 30 to 50%.
