About interests feature
The Interests feature is designed to give users greater control over the content they see. With this feature, users can easily filter their newsfeed by selecting topics that matter most to them, such as artists, accessibility, food, camping info, or updates for a specific event day.
Once preferences are set, the newsfeed dynamically displays targeted news cards tailored to their selections, ensuring every update is timely and relevant. You can also send personalized push notifications based on these interests, keeping users engaged with the content they care about, no clutter, just what matters.
Here's how it works:
- ✅ Select Your Interests: Users can choose from a variety of topics—such as artists, accessibility, food, camping info, or specific event days.
- 📍 Easy Access: Users can access the Interests screen in multiple ways—during onboarding, from the settings menu, or through a dedicated card on the newsfeed.
- 📰 Personalized Newsfeed: The newsfeed automatically updates to show only the most relevant news cards based on the selected interests.
- 🎯 Targeted News Cards: You can display specific news cards in the feed that align with each user's interests, ensuring the most relevant content is front and center.
- 🔔 Targeted Push Notifications: Users receive real-time notifications tailored to their preferences, so they never miss an important update.
- 📲 Focused Experience: By filtering out unrelated content, users enjoy a cleaner, more engaging, and personalized experience on the application.
How to manage interests
Contact your Customer Success Manager to add this feature for you. Once enabled, you can manage and customize this content via the CMS in the Interests section, found under the News menu option.
There, you can:
- Add a summary for each interest
- Upload images to visually enhance each listing
- Choose whether an interest should appear during onboarding screen, where users select their favorite artists and activities
This gives you greater control over how users discover and engage with your content from the very start.
